Insight provides a range of consulting and training services for designing, conducting and analyzing studies of Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Complementary and Alternative Medicine refers to forms of health care that are used in addition (complementary) or instead of (alternative) traditional medical treatment. Complementary therapies are often based on traditional knowledge. Such therapies include:

• acupuncture

• Chinese medicine

• chiropractic and osteopathic medicine

• massage

• yoga

• herbal medicines

• meditation

It is worth noting that there are a range of viewpoints towards Complementary and Alternative Medicine (with strong supporters and strong opponents). The viewpoint that Insight adopts is that we are fully supportive of (and eager to engage with) research of Complementary and Alternative Medicine that has the same scientific rigour as research of Western Medicine, and that we fully respect all members of the population irrespective of their medical viewpoints.

Insight is based at the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. The Precinct contains Griffith University Gold Coast, the Gold Coast University Hospital, the Gold Coast Private Hospital, and the Cohort and Lumina tech parks. Insight provides research, consulting, training, and IT support services for clients across the Precinct and for the broader international community.
